“Speak like you believe in yourself the most!”

At some point in our life, we have come across the concept of ‘law of attraction’. What we think and speak tends to form a mental image which then becomes our reality. So, if you talk down to yourself right before an important job interview, you will surely lack confidence and be prone to mistakes. On the other hand, if you paint a positive mental image with your thoughts and words, your outcome will be positive.

So does this mean that one can simply say positive things to make them happen? The answer is certainly a no! An outcome is only as good as the hard and smart work that one puts behind it. However, our positive words act as the necessary catalyst to turn our hard work into success. This is why sports persons are trained for mental as well as physical fitness. Without the words of self-assurance, they would not be able to create a mental image of victory that they can later translate into reality on the field.

We humans have an inherent tendency to believe in the negative more easily. Thus we get into the habit of negative self-talk even without realizing it. In order to break this habit, one must take conscious efforts in the direction of staying, thinking and saying positive. Continuous positive thinking would help our brain form clearer pictures of triumphs and successes along with long-term happiness.

To unleash infinite possibilities, make your words your friends and get in the habit of saying things that are constructive in nature. After all, unless you believe in yourself, nobody else will do it.
